Ack!

So hubby and I spent all day in the new town looking at houses and getting to know the roads. 7am - 5:30ish p.m. Yes, all day.
We found this really wonderful house that needed carpet and paint and some yard work, but all very affordable considering the asking price. Good neighborhood too.
It must have been bank owned, I don't remember, but anyway we found a lady (Juanita) and she showed us several homes including this one. We wanted it. It had this strange dip in the back yard....hmmm...rocks in it...hmmm..."Is that a sink hole?" I asked laughing, because- really! Yup. Juanita called back while we were still in town..a sink hole!!! The realtor that was selling it had also just found out and was very upset about it too. It's now a worthless property. ACK!! At least we didn't own it and were the ones trying to sell. Sink holes are awful in this state, and once you have one on property no insurance will cover you and they can grow and swallow the home! Bummer.

Sounds like your comment saved the day! Had they not wondered about it until you mentioned sink hole? Maybe you can get it really cheap and have a swimming hole....:)

bummer! Good thing you noticed it, though. I probably would have just thought it was a septic tank or an old cistern or something.

Aughhh... I'm glad you saw it and asked about it before it was yours.

Trusting God to lead you where HE wants you to be.

Julie, it is one of the pictures my friends took the day they were getting some preggo shots of me. After we did pictures by some flowers we went to the park so the kids could play and well...I'm just a big kid and I had to swing too. This picture is just the face shot of me swinging and holding my keys in my hand - what talent :)

Just keep looking. The right place is there somewhere. Glad you didn't decide to "sink or swim."
