Flower of The Family
The scattered thoughts of a genius in the making
Hoist the colors!!I love those movies!
I like the movies too. The start of this almost makes me cry. I'm silly I guess. But it is sad to hang a child, even a pirate child.
why? are you dirty -- in need of a bath? Are you feeling rebellious? Are you stealing other people's booty? Are you in danger of hanging? Are you fighting the undead? Why do you feel like a pirate?ahhh -- it's the rum!
I'm thinking Kay is on to something!
If that is supposed to stir your innards, it worked! Are you feelin' like killin' somebuddy?
Kay, It was the rum, but someone hid it from me! I feel a little like I could cause some destruction and confusion and not feel bad about it at all. In fact I think I would enjoy it. In fact I just might become a pirate.
I watched the clip, but I didn't see the movie. I'm with you Julie - so sad to see that a child had to die - I get all philosophical wanting to give him a fresh start looking for reform instead of death.
and I do know it's just a movie...
Robin,You wouldn't be a very good pirate. At least you would be a very poor pirate, you would probably give all the money and jewels back. How sad. You can run the pirate reform clinic. Reform us nasty rummy pirates. :)
Yes, I'd be a poor pirate and you are right I'd probably be giving the jewels and stuff back. I like the idea of a pirate reform clinic. Actually I hope at some point in my life to be involved in one (well not for pirates, but you get the idea). I'm not quite sure which area I would choose to help in - there are so many to choose from and coming from a broken family (parents both on 4th marriages) I understand some of what the kids of broken families go through and my heart hurts for them. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 is my Scripture I hang onto.
